Vice President, End to End Supply Chain, Value Analysis
Sandra Monacelli oversees Nexera’s Clinical Supply Chain Integration and Value Analysis offerings. Her team leads system-wide value analysis and perioperative improvement processes at a variety of healthcare organizations. Monacelli focuses on reducing clinical supply chain spend by employing cost of care, quality and clinical outcomes data to identify opportunities. She has presented on these topics at Premier, AHVAP and AHRMM conferences.
Prior to joining Nexera, Monacelli worked in cardiac rhythm management with Medtronic, Inc. Over the course of her career, she has created and implemented high-functioning perioperative cultures in a variety of demanding OR suite settings. Her past roles include responsibility for leading the strategic direction and management of perioperative services in a top-tier medical teaching institution.
Monacelli was a primary contributor to the Nexera book “The Healthcare Supply Chain: Best Practices for Operating at the Intersection of Cost, Quality, and Outcomes.” Additionally, she has published several white papers including “Using an HRO Model in the Perioperative Suite: Your Nurses’ Perspective.”
Monacelli received her undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She earned her Master’s in Business from the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon Graduate School of Business. Sandra Monacelli currently serves on Premier’s Value Analysis Advisory Council. She was recently selected for JHC’s 2022 Women Leaders in Supply Chain Award.
